The app is in beta
The app is in closed beta as of this week.
A few of you — the people who signed up early and were willing to break things — have it on your phones. It's been a long time coming and there are real bugs, but the core works.
What's working:
- Peak detection for the starter (the prediction model is good for kitchens between 65–80°F; we're tuning it for the edges)
- The bake log with photos
- The baker's calculator
- The recipe library (40 to start, more in v2)
- The .sourdoughrecipe file format — you can already AirDrop recipes from one phone to another
What's not yet working:
- Recipe OCR is in the build but the parsing is still a little fragile on handwritten recipes
- iCloud sync is implemented but not yet on by default — turning it on for everyone in the public release
If you want to be in the next wave of testers, the signup is still on the homepage. Public launch is later this spring.
